One of our first beneficiaries is the SOS Fund. This is a foundation (also under the National Heritage Foundation) whose mission is to help and support the surviving family members of veterans who have perished in the service of their country. As with most of our beneficiaries, these are grass roots efforts conducted by average regular folks who saw a need and are trying their best to fill it. The "average" folk in these cases are Chris and Sharon Landry, founders of the SOS Fund. The SOS Fund has already been acknowledged favorably by the DOD. Another of our more recent start ups is the Amreican Scholarship Foundation. Their tag line is "If It’s Not About The Children, Then What’s It All About?”. Their site is under construction and will break off on its own soon.
